DP World - DGM - Procurement

Responsibilities:

- Devise and use strategic sourcing process

- Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships

- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms

- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services

- Finalize purchase- details of orders and deliveries

- Contract Management.

- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

- Collaborate with key business stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations.

- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers.

- Expect un favorable- events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies

- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements

- Control spend and- build a culture of- long-term saving/ cost reduction on procurement costs

- Understanding of fleet operations, driver management, pan-India routes, trucking hubs, etc.

- Developed and managed a decently sized vendor fleet of various truck types - national & local.

- Sufficient contacts to develop vendor bases across the country on a long term basis

- Understanding of service level performance management of vendor fleet and managing churn/exceptions

- Understanding of technology systems usage

- Hands-on with an ability to work on the ground - ability to travel extensively and at short notice

- Good knowledge of logistic operations and command over demand and supply planning

Qualification & Competencies:

- 8-12 Years of Hands on Experience in strategic Sourcing

- Experience in ERP tool

- We are looking for someone from Transportation background
