Job Description :
The opening is at an Investment Banking AVP/VP level with deal origination and execution role.
- Mid-market focus and small deal team size give AVP/VP the opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial setup with senior bankers and demonstrate origination and execution skills.
- AVP/VP will need to mentor the analyst and work closely with a senior banker in origination responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for origination, execution, and structuring of private equity investments, merger & acquisition transactions
- Handled investment banking mandates across sectors involving financial analysis of companies, financial modeling, due diligence, term sheet development and negotiations with investors
- Prepared information memorandum, investor presentations and pitch documents for deals
Deal Origination :
- Have built strong relationship across business and corporate houses across sectors and generated mandates for companies requiring growth capital
- Leveraged professional and personal networks for deal origination
Advisory & Mandate Execution:
- Part of the execution team for originated deals
- Prepared information memorandum and financial models
- Identified investors and held discussions for proposals
Requirements/qualifications :
- MBA/CFA/CA or equivalent education, training and work-related experience (Preferred Premier Institute)
- Around 4-6 years experience in a similar role in an investment bank or private equity firm
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of deal structuring and closing principals
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills, especially in explaining market events.
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft PPT and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes.
- Strong- financial modeling skills.
- Affinity for current events, critical issues, and relevant news.
