d.light - Head - Procurement (15-20 yrs)
Procurement Manager will lead development & managing manufacturing & sourcing capability in India. He / she will identify potential suppliers for d.light's current & new range of products from India and develop India sourcing capability. Responsibilities for the role include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers, develop the best ways to rationalize sourcing costs and enable company to invest in growth and people.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Create and implement regional procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within industry.
2. Develop Project Procurement Plan in conjunction with Management.
3. Compare proposals for price and specifications.
4. Negotiate with vendors to reduce costs.
5. Checking purchase requisitions basis the requirement shared by department owners.
6. Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors, and responsible to conduct supplier QBRs(Quarterly business Reviews).
7. Receive and evaluate quotations, interview vendors and select/recommend suppliers while considering price, delivery requirements, and past performance of vendor/supplier.
8. Coordinate and administer material returns, credits and refusals process while ensuring cost efficient handling.
9. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports.
10. Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility. Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
11. Supplier engagement for the new product development as per the MRD/PRD (Marketing Requirement Document & Product Requirement Document)
12. Developing/presenting comparative supplier proposals (techno-commercial) to the management.
13. PO/PI management as per the monthly sales forecast.
