Divisional Manager - Transfer Agency - Financial Services (16-20 yrs)

We are currently hiring for our Client at Bangalore for Divisional Manager - Transfer Agency @Bangalore .

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensures that the Transfer business initiatives are aligned with the objectives and internal capabilities of the business

- Ensures the short-term (tactical) and long-term (strategic) goals and requirements of the Transfer business are properly supported by a robust infrastructure in addition to budget objectives

- Directly accountable for timeliness and quality of deliverables within the division

- Ensures that the Transfer Agency business is adequately resourced, that the performance management process is followed and that training and development needs are identified and addressed

- Leads and drives the talent strategy and ensures the right mix, drives a transparent and fair performance culture and ensures the performance management process is followed and that training and developmental needs are identified and addressed.

- Drives engagement and culture by ensuring employee participation, teamwork and open communication where adherence with compliance is an intrinsic part of the culture and day to day operations.

- Develops unit(s) budget and manages the expenses for the division/unit.

- Effectively drives and manages change programmes to achieve business goals. Ensures appropriate involvement and representation in major initiatives impacting the business. Increases use of re- engineering and automation across end to end processes to drive efficiency

- Ensures adequate systems and controls are in place and in compliance with relevant corporate policies:

- Comply with all legal and statutory requirements applicable including but not limited to all home country Financial Regulators, employment legislation, health and safety and corporate governance in India.

- Comply with any applicable corporate policies, local standards and service agreements

- Balance the interests and requirements of clients, shareholders and the bank

- Ensures own compliance by acquiring, maintaining and applying to business practices knowledge of all major corporate and local legislation and regulations relevant to own role and responsibilities

- Manages all aspects of function with due skill, care and diligence including effective controls, risk management, mitigation and delegation of activities to appropriately skilled and competent persons

- Manages the production of Transfer Agency deliverables, audits and plans for the unit.

- Acts as senior escalation point of contact for assigned clients

- Participates in client meetings to explain the bank's product or service. Consults on effective ways to meet client needs or appropriate method to be used for resolution of an error.

- Provides leadership and guidance in the resolution of difficult client issues that are non-routine in nature.

- Directs staff efforts in meeting department objectives

- Seek opportunities to develop and enhance the local and corporate Northern Trust Brand and to grow the

Transfer Agency business -

- Act as a critical adviser to the regional senior and executive management on Transfer Agency business strategy and effectiveness

- In collaboration with peer Transfer Agency managers, coordinates execution and implementation of functional best practice across the Transfer Agency businesses to improve the performance of operations and technology for both internal and external clients

- Monitors the competitive business climate, technology trends and government activities in the areas of current and anticipated products and services

- Provides leadership and guidance to subordinate managers on the planning, organisation, direction and control of the activities within Transfer Agency

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL:

- Graduate degree or relevant professional qualification and experience

- Post qualification experience in increasingly senior roles within an industry leading, global financial services organization. Considerable experience in managing large teams (300+ FTEs and 20+ Years)

- Effective communicator with the ability to articulate and develop an argument in an environment of assertive executive directors

- Proven track record of excellent management and leadership skills

- Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning skills

- Proven track record of achieving results within agreed time frames.

- Experience in industry leading, global financial services organization with exposure to external and internal stakeholders across multiple geographical locations

- Knowledge and experience of direct dealing with application of financial services regulations

KNOWLEDGE:

Thorough Understanding of:

- The challenges to be faced as senior manager operating within a heavily regulated environment

- Systems and automation necessary to support an efficient global Transfer Agency operation

- The corporate and local laws and regulations that affect this business.
