Diversey - Manager - R&D India (8-12 yrs)
Technical Depth/Skills:
- Technically leading R&D projects when needed with technical expertise in the area of life cycle management of the product portfolio
- Technically advice the India LT and senior R&D management on technical or application or regulatory issues arising in the market and recommend a path forward
- Application of knowledge in the product portfolio of Diversey in India and bigger region
- Understanding to support sourcing & supply chain where needed if issues arise in case it relates to design of the product portfolio
- Establishes and develops contacts with relevant third party technology/science partners such as suppliers, knowledge institutes, laboratories, regulatory bodies or customers.
- Works closely with regional regulatory department in order to get input for regulatory matters or support
Data Handling and Analysis:
- Generate a set of KPIs for the group together with the VP GTS R&D and Regulatory.
- Gather data for all activities with marketing and supply chain in order follow up with proper prioritization
- Generate proper quarterly reports to report out on the deliveries of the group aligned to the strategy of the company
Management:
- Organizes regular 1:1s with reports in order to coach and mentor
- Creates and executes on the development plans for direct reports
- Builds a performance improvement plan when needed
- Builds a proper talent management plan for the group
- Organizes regular group meetings
- Talks to peers across the globe for alignment in the R&D organization
- Manages the lab and makes sure the labs are a safe and organized place to work
- Masters or PhD degree in chemistry, or similar discipline
- Good management skills, knows how to engage people
- Has the right technical skill and application expertise on Diversey's products and systems
- Ability to manage time and activities to deliver to assigned goals
- Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
- Ability to direct the work of others
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills
- Ability to think critically
- Ability to work effectively with his peers in R&D and other departments as a team player
