MANAGEMENT OF LOGISTICS SERVICE PROVIDERS :
- Manages the performance standards set out in the contracts of logistics service providers in the transportation function to achieve contractual transportation commitments; monitors compliance with the terms of the contracts to attain service (SLA), cost goals and adhere to all local & central statutory needs.
TRANSPORTATION :
- Ensures that effective and efficient KPI are in place to monitor quality and efficiency performance;
- Domestic logistics systems, local/country legal mandates and transportation options (air, ground, rail, etc.) of shipping certain goods including hazardous materials;
- Providing support for reverse logistics Agreements in place & timely renewal
COST REDUCTION :
- Continuously Identify & drive cost saving opportunities in transporting operations
FINANCIAL/BUDGET PLANNING :
- Responsible for developing and controlling the overall Logistics budget.
CUSTOMER SERVICE :
- Responsible for meeting customer needs to achieve service requirements;
- Monitors and responds to product demand changes by adjusting delivery plans;
- Reviews KPIs with internal customers to monitor service levels and progress against business objectives; takes corrective actions as required;
- Oversee and monitor product demand to ensure the optimal shipments to customers and distribution centers;
METRICS :
- Uses KPIs to drive team performance, process consistency, best practice sharing and continuous/performance improvements
- Leads the identification of variances and trends in KPIs; investigates and determines implication of customer service, cost and inventory; ensures corrective action is taken to address issues.
