Position Overview:
The Director / Vice President - Debt Syndication in the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) department will play a key role in driving the origination, structuring, and execution of complex debt transactions. This individual will work closely with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to deliver innovative debt financing solutions, with a particular focus on syndicated debt, structured finance, project finance, and acquisition/bridge finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Origination & Execution:
- Lead and manage the origination, structuring, and execution of Debt Capital Market (DCM) transactions, including syndicated debt, structured finance, project finance, acquisition/bridge finance, and more.
Debt Syndication Leadership :
- Spearhead debt syndication transactions, overseeing all aspects from origination to completion. This includes negotiating, structuring, and closing funding agreements with a diverse set of lenders.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including commercial banks, investment banks, NBFCs (Non-Banking Financial Companies), development financial institutions, and other financial intermediaries.
Credit Analysis & Due Diligence:
- Conduct in-depth credit analysis, financial modeling, and due diligence on potential deals to assess risk and determine optimal structuring for clients.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor junior members of the syndication team. Collaborate closely with senior management, legal teams, and other departments within the firm to ensure seamless execution and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Market Intelligence & Trends:
- Monitor debt market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to advise clients on optimal financing structures. Provide market insights and thought leadership in client discussions.
