Title : Director - VAT

Location : Kuwait

You'll join a globally-integrated team helping leading organizations to move goods and services around the world more effectively.

Responsibilities :

- Preparation and review the tax liability includes mainly VAT

- Responsible for Compilation of information for tax returns Planning, preparation and coordination.

- Handled VAT audit Planning, preparation, coordination.

- Should have experience of replying to notices, inquiry letters, attending before the tax officers and assessments.

- Contract Review Tax optimization. Should have proper knowledge of the various tax schemes available to works contractor in VAT and Service tax laws.

- Should have knowledge of practically preparation, filing applications of SAD refund claims (Customs) and SEIS (Foreign Trade Policy).

- Should be working as a part of team and guiding team members with respect to implementation of amendments in Indirect tax laws, resolving queries faced by them in routine matters like tax payments,compilation of information for returns, return filing etc.

Client responsibilities:

- Work effectively as a member of a worldwide network of professional advisors, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress

- Collaborate with a team of VAT professionals to combine diverse cross-border transaction experience with local tax knowledge across a broad spectrum of industries

- Participate and assist in preparing for meetings with management teams

- Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties

- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel

- Build strong internal relationships within the VAT practice, Indirect Tax and across other service lines

People responsibilities :

- Help people to develop through effective supervision, coaching and mentoring of staff

- Transfer technical and professional knowledge to others through formal and on-the-job training

- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff

- Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining and training VAT professionals

- Maintain an educational program to develop personal skills on an ongoing basis

- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures

Qualifications :

- Qualified CA with strong academic credentials

- VAT / Indirect Tax experience in a Big4 Consulting firm.
