Reporting Manager: Interim reporting to the CHRO

Team: 3-4

Location: Bangalore

Roles and Responsibilities:

The University Relations leader will be responsible for establishing the organization as the most attractive brand to work for in the top Engineering and Business Schools. They will work towards building and enhancing the organizations brand visibility at the campuses of interest to enable in hiring the best early talent.

The role will entail providing strategic guidance, thought leadership, and operational assistance to the UR team to succeed in their individual charters. Working along with the UR Hiring leads and internal stakeholders (i.e HR Business partners, Business leaders, campus ambassadors) the leader will design, implement and execute the hiring, engagement, on-boarding, and post on-boarding programs for the campus selects. Set clear role responsibilities and goals for the University Relations team members.

Graduate Staffing & Programs

- Partner across senior leadership and their team of hiring managers, HR business partners/ leaders and Talent Acquisition to define & deliver to the organizations identified need to graduate hiring commitments for full-time and interns across businesses and technology.

- Identify key campuses for the organization and develop specific campus strategies in partnership with the leaders and team members.Manage the team that facilitates the processes for on-campus hiring, including creating job descriptions, interviewing and selecting candidates Partner with local managers and Talent Acquisition to meet deadlines for on-campus hiring and candidate selection.

- Manage governance progress to improve campus programs

- Ideate and innovate next level practices to distinguish the university relations program from FMCG, Consulting and other tech companies.

- Elevate the organizations intern program, ensuring interns have an exceptional experience

- Conduct internal bench-marking and stay abreast of industry trends and best practice in this field Improve program through external bench-marking, gathering lessons learned and listening to feedback from stakeholders

- Track and manage program hiring analytics. Leverage business analysis skills to derive insights for a long tern talent pipeline and talent management strategy. Assist and guide in program governance and leader outputs and readouts Develop programs to support UR hires once they have started their full time role.

Branding

- Position the organization as an employer of choice at campuses (Management, tech and upcoming fields)

- Build and evangelise the graduate employer brand promise aligned to the employer value proposition.

- Plan the campus events to build the organizations brand on priority campuses

- Build an e-commerce industry on campuses in India (management & tech)

- Build programs to infuse diversity and foster inclusion at the organization from the best minds in India and world.

Key Skills

- Apply design thinking principles in curating new programs or special programs that need to be developed for ever changing business needs. Already tried and tested models of the industry will not differentiate the business.

- Ability to act independently to determine methods as e-commerce is being established as a study in the field of education. Strong ability to communicate clearly, in both written and verbal forms, with senior executive leadership

- Advanced organizational and planning skills

- Ability to cope with a complex and changing/ evolving environment

Qualifications

Post Graduation / MBA in HR from a reputed institute with 15+years of University Relations experience in a fast paced/high growth company.
