Director - UI - Angular - Java - Field & Client Technology - Wealth Management Firm

Role Requirement:

This position will have the following responsibilities.

- The role will function as the Technical Lead for (SCR) Strategic Client Reporting platform, WM UX/Prototyping team and overall Sr. development Manager for all Advisor Solutions technology team members located at Mumbai / Bangalore with responsibility for:

- Deliver on all business commitments for SCR

- Project ownership, build and oversight

- Resource management including space planning, consultant oversight and near shore dev center strategy

- Attract, Retain and motivate local talent pool

- People initiatives including diversity, recruiting and volunteering

- Compensation and performance management process coordination

- The role will function as the delivery lead for the Advisory Solutions technology team application areas in Mumbai / Bangalore with responsibility for:

- Project delivery and technical oversight and accountability

- Driving long term platform and technology change aligned with various short term deliverables and releases

- Manage local reporting lines for all staff

- Direct input into the compensation, performance and promotion process for DM/SP

- The role will also function as the delivery lead for the Wealth Management Technology Prototype development team application areas in Mumbai / Bangalore with responsibility for:

- Project delivery and technical oversight and accountability

- Defining UI design standards and integration patterns

- Build reusable UI widgets that can be leveraged across applications.

- Rapid prototype development to convert business requirements to functional UI that can be field tested.

- Manage local reporting lines for all staff

- Direct input into the compensation, performance and promotion process for DM/SP

Skills required include:

- Strong understanding of Wealth Management business is critical

- Very Strong experience UI frameworks like AngularJS, HTML 5, CSS3, Bootstrap.

- Very Strong experience in Java is a MUST.

- Experience building enterprise class solutions using development tools.

- Integration middleware products

- Strong understanding of SOA

- Past experience on REST, SOAP

- RDBMS (Sybase and/or DB2),

- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies

- Excellent presentations skills: ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner; individually or in front of a group

- Keen attention to detail

- Strong communication and influencing skills

- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work

- Candidate will be required to work with geographically dispersed teams, specially team(s) in New York and India

Any Prior Mobile application ownership would be nice to have.

Experience:

- Candidate should have at least 10+ years of relevant IT experience with minimum 5 years in a technical or product lead position, preferably in Financial Services or Wealth Management organization.

- The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and should be able to work with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is expected to serve as a mentor to the regional team.
