Director Technology - NGO
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the leadership to continually refine and improve the technology strategy
- Develop technical roadmaps for growth and then ensure timely execution and quality delivery
- Lead annual goals and planning process for the technology function, and align plans with the organization- s long-term vision
- Prioritize and resource technology projects appropriately in line with the strategy
- Stay in the forefront of technology and multi-platform development (web, mobile, tablet etc.)
- Make key technical decisions (product, architecture, etc.) when necessary
- Implement appropriate technology management policies, standards, and procedures to ensure flawless execution across the technology division
- Lead and participate in organisation level strategic conversations to ensure technical implications, opportunities, and risks are considered
Requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or related disciplines with 15+ years of industry / NGO experience ( 5+ years leading and managing technology teams )
- Experience in strategy formulation and planning for organization wide technology
- Experience working with mobile technology, content management, learning management, WhatsApp, YouTube, UI/UX solutions
- Understanding of latest technologies and technology trends, data analytics, dashboards and artificial intelligence
- Deploying and scaling technology solutions across multiple States
- Experience managing technology partners - preparing MOU/agreement, creating SLAs, monitoring and tracking partner performance
- Experience managing agile software engineering teams in successfully deploying solutions to support complex programs
- Demonstrated experience translating complex user needs into high-quality tech solutions that deliver impact
