Director - Technical - Power Sector (15-25 yrs)

Requirements :

- Familiarity with the latest technological developments in entire value chain of power sector i.e. generation, transmission and distribution, overall system planning and operation.

- Experience of having dealt with matters relating to regulatory affairs of the electricity/power sector, fair knowledge of the working of the Regulatory Commissions,

- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the electricity sector, tracing regulatory reforms over the years and their outcome.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, project, and organizational management skills.

- National and international recognitions in the field - Peer reviewed publications, speaker in national/international conferences.

- Knowledge of issues related to Power industry, Renewable Energy, Climate change, Energy efficiency.

- Understanding of green / climate finance is desirable.

Responsibilities :

- Responsible for achieving excellence in Techno-economical aspects of the studies/projects and other related technical activities to be undertaken by the Foundation.

- Lead technical and policy related matters and projects pertaining to Energy & allied sectors.

- Take ownership of the task with a focus on management of resources, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.

- Lead the team to deliver on policy analysis as well in working on implementation issues in the Energy sector.

- Review and commenting on the proposed Policy, Regulations and relevant orders issued by SERCs, CERC, State/Central government and autonomous bodies.

- Publish research output as peer-reviewed papers/reports, blogs, opinion pieces

- Proactively participate in knowledge-transfer activities, including collaborative meetings, conferences, and training workshops with other research groups and institutions.

- He/she will be responsible for the development, implementation of energy/power projects & use appropriate project management tools to track implementation progress, as well as identify and mitigate various implementation risks
