Director - Supply Chain & Operations - Commerce

KSA (Saudi Arabia) based business group with net worth of 0.5 Bn USD, is diversifying into online retailing and aspired to invest in building the next generation supply chain in the region. Currently, we are looking for leadership team across functions based at Saudi Arabia.

This role would take complete ownership of operations and supply chain - strategy, roll-out and operational excellence. The candidate should be a strategic thinker and must possess strong business acumen and can plan, act and monitor operations.

Supply chain design, and setup

- Design Supply Chain Model

- Build team and external partnerships

- Systems and Processes for seamless operations

- Continuously improve in terms of speed, reach, innovations & cost.

- Setup of data analytics, for data driven decision making

Leading Operations Operations

- Develop and lead KPIs for fulfillment, delivery and customer satisfaction

- Managing pre-dispatch operations - vendor management, product tracking, and quality checks.

- Post Dispatch - distribution, warehousing, last mile delivery etc

- Work with technology team to develop systems that can work at scale, and are designed for the region.

- Risk Management

Education and Experience Requirement

- 10+ years- experience in global supply chain management

- Data driven decision maker, with understanding of the business

- Knowledge of technology systems, manufacturing, global supply chain, operations and regulatory requirements

- Proven track record in building and managing a large supply chain / logistics team

- Proven experience in developing and managing relationships and negotiating strategic agreements to ensure constant cost and quality improvements.

- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work with cross functional teams - commercial, technology etc.
