Our client is a leading Global Financial Institution engaged in personal banking, credit cards, corporate and investment banking, and wealth management with an extensive presence in Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia.
- Actively seeking an experienced Director - Strategic Vendor Management to oversee Vendor Management and Sourcing activities for Group Technology.
Some of the key responsibilities will include :
- Strategic approach towards Supplier and Vendor Management
- Global Vendor Management with hands on Vendor Life Cycle - Contract Negotiations, Approval Governance, Demand Challenge Process (DCP), Purchase Order (PO) creation and invoice management.
- Working knowledge of OCIR regulations and ring-fencing rules
- Proactively manage communication channels with senior stakeholders & vendors both internally and externally.
To be eligible for this role you will require :
- Qualified Accountant - (ACA/CIMA/CFA) OR MBA (Finance)
- A proven track record with 15+ years of managing Global Vendor Management and ownership of Supplier Operating Model (SOM).
- Strong understanding of Vendor Contracts and Negotiations specifically around Technology (Hardware, Software and Professional Services).
- Sound working knowledge of Cost Reporting & Analytics and Accounting principles.
- Demonstrate leadership ability in setting direction and prioritization
- Strong communication and influencing skills required to be successful in this role
- Strong inter-personal skills and evidence of working across teams and geographies to produce timely and accurate output.
