Director - SOX Testing - BFSI/BPO/KPO (10-18 yrs)

We are hiring for Director SOX Role-based with a large MNC-Private Equity Firm Powai Mumbai Location.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Responsible for overseeing the India team for the effective operation of the company's internal controls over financial reporting

- Manage a team of Sox reviewers and testers to ensure the execution of the testing of the design and effectiveness of established controls and processes across organizations.

- Assist internal teams in the re-design or creation of enhanced controls to streamline and build more effective processes and assess in the quarterly SOX 404 financial statement risk assessment.

- Supervise and provides leadership and technical guidance to staff for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

- Provide oversight to ensure identified remediation efforts are regularly reviewed and addressed.

- Monitor the design & operating effectiveness of the existing SOX internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory and audit guidance

- Evaluate gaps reported in the design and operating effectiveness of controls and monitor plans of remediation

- Liaise with external auditors, process owners, internal auditors, and other key stakeholders on testing, projects, reporting metrics, status, deliverables, and challenges.

- Manages staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment and selection, training and development

- Participate in SOX Budget, Target Operating Models and Resource Planning Sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

(Academic, Professional, Relevant Job Knowledge) :

- Strong Controls and Sarbanes Oxley expertise: COSO, COBIT

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, GRC Tools- Archer a plus

- A minimum of 10 years of experience: Big 4 experience a plus

- BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance

- CPA/MBA certification preferred

- Forward-thinking, creative individual with high ethical standards

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Comfortable operating both in a team environment and independently.

- Ability to develop strong relationships and effectively communicate and influence at all levels.

- Strong written and oral communication skills and presence capabilities
