Director Software Engineering

The Purpose of Your Role : 

- This is a leadership position requiring significant experience leading large teams, managing demanding stakeholders, complex delivery, testing practices preferably in the asset management domain

Planning and execution:

- Determine program delivery goals, create road map with milestone along with product owner, tracking and forecasting, understand scope and schedule, identify risks and challenges, decision making and prioritisation, create release plans, oversee release management process in the team, determine effort and estimate, plan team structure (Site/Size/Skills)

Budgeting/Financial Management:

- Determine resource allocation, monitor financials - Approved Spend, Budget vs Actual and Variance, track time sheet, Multi Year Planning

Stakeholders Communication /Management:

- Partner Engagement, Steering Committee, Management Engagement, Business End-user Engagement, External team dependency, Senior Leadership updates, Status Reporting

Engagement:

- Partner with stakeholders during fusion, review design and get approval, engage business in regular show and tell, User Acceptance Testing, identify future risks by looking at incident trends/metrics, 24/7 availability for escalation, enhance local support for greater response, coordinate and ensure release sign offs, maintain document repository/registry updates, etc.
