Director - SCM & Strategic Sourcing - Automotive (18-28 yrs)
- Steer the procurement of components like various 4wheeler parts / components like Chassis / Powertrain / Interior / exterior / Trims / Electronics / Electrical / BIW etc.
- Leverage a strong relationship with key suppliers and engineering teams to ensure optimal cost and quality while meeting the delivery targets
- Drive the pricing negotiations for ensuring best-in-class commodity pricing and quality standards while continuously driving cost reduction
- Ensure long-term contracts with suppliers avoiding ad-hoc negotiations
- Analyze purchasing trends, evaluate sourcing alternatives, and identify new high potential suppliers
- Develop KPIs for performance evaluation of chosen suppliers
- Define and monitor procurement KPIs, SLAs and track them on a periodic basis
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to understand requirements of quantity and quality
- Monitor and forecast
- Monitor stock levels and order books to ensure compliance with targets
- Establish internal forecasting capability on price developments
- Upward reporting & communication
- Report and align with VP of SC&P on all relevant developments, processes and goals
