The Director - Sales (West) is responsible for leading the regional sales squad, owning revenue and gross profit targets, and driving customer growth across the West region. This role ensures strong execution of sales strategy, disciplined pipeline management, and seamless coordination across cross-functional teams. The leader is accountable for target delivery, team performance, and building strong relationships with enterprise customers and CXO stakeholders.

Reports To: Director - Sales (West) - India

Region: West India

Experience: 15 to 20 Years

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue Leadership:

- Own and achieve regional Revenue and Gross Profit targets.

- Ensure strong pipeline quality, forecasting accuracy, and opportunity management.

- Drive new customer acquisition and expansion within existing accounts.

- Support key deals, customer meetings, escalations, and negotiations.

Squad Leadership & Execution:

- Lead a cross-functional squad; ensure alignment with goals, priorities, and sprint plans.

- Drive disciplined work cadence (dailies, sprint planning, reviews).

- Coach team members on sales execution, opportunity qualification, and account strategy.

- Hold team accountable for performance and deliver ongoing feedback.

Market & Customer Insights:

- Maintain deep understanding of the regional market, competition, and customer needs.

- Ensure the squad is aligned on product knowledge and value positioning (CPaaS / SaaS / AI).

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Act as the primary liaison with Legal, Finance, Product, Solutions, and Marketing teams.

- Drive alignment, remove blockers, and ensure timely support for opportunities.

- Oversee segmentation activities, approvals, and travel or resource planning.

Success Metrics:

- Regional Revenue & Gross Profit achievement

- New customer acquisition

- Growth and retention of existing customers

- Product mix improvement (CPaaS vs SaaS)

- Squad performance and execution quality

Qualifications:


- 15+ years of enterprise sales experience (CPaaS, SaaS, Cloud, or AI preferred).

- Strong track record of delivering sales targets in a regional leadership role.

- Experience interacting with C-level executives and managing large enterprise accounts.

- Strong team management, communication, and executive presence.

- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.

- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
