About the role objectives :

The head of sales and marketing is a key hire and will be part of the senior leadership team in India. The leader will set the sales strategy and execution plan, including putting in place the sales organisation and hiring sales team. The sales leader will be expected to deliver early success and close deals with customers that will form the Company's anchor customers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Responsible for the overall sales function

- Building out the sales organisation including setting processes and hiring the team

- Source new leads through relationships and research, and establishing contact with executive-level prospects

- Prospect preparation, presentation, follow up and closing deals with customers

- Identify customer's buying trends and develop marketing and sales strategy accordingly

- Provide thoughtful feedback to product team on market response

- Build a strong culture within the team of being organised and methodical in the sales approach

Candidate Specification/s

Masters- degree or equivalent experience in Business

- 7 year plus of sales to corporates (BtoB) ideally B2B

- Have worked in a technology business followed with a start-up / early stage business scale up exposure

- You will have been a sales leader with experience in selling technology products and solutions to large and mid-corporates and also have experience in selling via intermediate channels.

Other important considerations:

- The ideal candidate is a competitive self-starter that brings dynamic thinking and well-honed work ethic to the table.

- Relentless style to close deals with customers

- Highly organised in your approach, including mapping of all stakeholders and adopting a methodical approach to achieve sales conversion

- Strong and effective communication skills, demonstrating both knowledge of product and understanding of client pain points

- Effective Marketing and Selling skills given that the solution is a new and disruptive product in the market

- Tech savvy with an interest in technology and ability to get into the weeds of the technology integration and solutioning

- Have a mentorship mindset that will enable the build out of a highly effective sales force
