An ideal fit is someone who leads sales &amp; marketing function in the automotive sector. - Someone who is very high on energy and great at relationship building and management. - Understanding of technology in terms of automotive sector R&amp;D is important. - This position will be responsible for providing leadership to the various constituents of the Engineering and R&amp;D Industry to help realize the vision of ERD industry from India emerging as the torch bearer for the industry. Basic Function / Job Responsibilities : - Work with Chair, Council to execute the identified actions and provide leadership to the Engineering and R&amp;D Council. - To work with internal and external stake holders like Government, academia, industry members, External consultants and other industry associations to establish COEs in the identified areas. - To work with members and prepare industry relevant competency matrix and Case studies to position the Industry with the stake holders. - To evangelize the talent development initiatives for the sector. - To identify future opportunities and create a strategic roadmap from an overall nation-building perspective. - Expand the membership base for in the ER&amp;D including presentations to the visiting global and local leaders of the Industry segment. - Industry Council Member Coordination and Agenda Execution, Preparing and executing the budget and device strategies to raise funds, Communicating and coordinating with the members of the Industry,Council. - Executing on the Industry Councils agenda, Constantly engage with Members of the sector beyond council members, Communicating and coordinating all the IC's activities and goals (also handling day-to-day budgets). - Communicating and coordinating with the EC members and other ICs and sending them timely information on the Industry Council developments. Helping further the interests of the IC by Industry Positioning &amp; Representation, C-Suite Connect, Maximize Member Participation. - To support the events team to implement a successful ER&amp;D summit Qualifications, Experience, expected proficiency and competencies : - The ideal candidate would be a Graduate with experience of 12-15 years and proficiency on : - Exposure to either IT or Engineering or Manufacturing industry - Exposure to SEZ-STPI/Marketing/ Branding/ Government Affairs - Experience in any of Engineering vertical will be advantageous - Strong industry connects externally and internally will be a great advantage Competencies : - Strategic Thinking, Should be seen as a thought leader who provides alternate ideas for the Industry, - Ability to share a common vision, to articulate ideas, evangelize, Ability to identify long term, medium term and short term focus areas. - Networking and Influencing skills - Enjoys interacting and working with people, Ability to identify the real stake holders and get them engaged, Ability to influence people who don't report to you and who may have other (often different) priorities. - Networking with abilities to build trust and relationship. Excellent communication, Presentation skills, Written and verbal and public communication. Ability to prepare for the meetings, presentations, drawing meeting notes, Good reading and absorbing capability. Technology savviness with Social media focus - Ability to conceive sector specific programs and execution, Program Management skills including ability to run multiple programs. Ability to raise funds, Willingness to travel extensively
