Director - Sales - Logistics Tech (8-18 yrs)
The Director of Enterprise Sales is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy for the B2B SaaS company, with a focus on driving growth and revenue. The Director will lead a high-performing sales team and work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and customer success, to drive business success.
Sales Strategy and Planning -
- Develop and execute the sales strategy, including setting sales targets and identifying key market segments and opportunities.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline, utilizing a CRM system and other tools to track progress and ensure sales targets are met.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute lead generation and nurturing campaigns.
- Monitor market trends, competition, and customer needs, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Team Management -
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of enterprise sales representatives, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Create a positive and productive sales culture, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and innovation.
- Set individual and team sales targets, and hold team members accountable for their performance.
- Customer Relationship Management -
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners, leveraging those relationships to drive revenue and expand the company's market share.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide expert consultation on the company's product offerings.
- Attend industry events and tradeshows to build relationships and network with potential customers.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration -
- Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure that sales efforts align with company goals and strategies.
- Provide feedback to product development on customer needs and requirements, and work with marketing to develop targeted messaging and positioning.
- Ensure that customer success is informed of sales progress, and that sales is aware of customer needs and concerns.
- Reporting and Analytics
- Provide regular sales reports to senior management, including progress against targets, customer trends, and market insights.
- Utilize data and analytics to inform sales strategies and plans, and to measure the success of sales initiatives.
Key Requirements :
- At least 8 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years of experience in a sales leadership role.
- Proven track record of sales success, including meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage with customers at all levels.
- Ability to analyze market trends and competition, and to develop and execute sales strategies accordingly.
- Knowledge of the B2B SaaS market, with a deep understanding of the sales process and customer buying behavior.
- Experience with sales technology, including CRM and marketing automation systems.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
