Director - Research & Insights - CPG & Retail Sector (12-20 yrs)

Job opportunity for working professional with expansive Strategy Research and Insights experience in CPG & Retail sectors and someone who comes with a Consulting mindset.

Location: Work from anywhere

Responsibilities:

Commercial / Account Management and Farming

- End-to-end responsibility for delivery on key client accounts

- front end role in scoping and delivery of key projects to clients

- Developing marketable solutions/capabilities

- Adhere to high quality standards across all proposals

- Identifying sales trends and closely manage profitability on projects

- Should be available to travel to present project outcomes to clients, and to support business development endeavors.

Engagement Delivery:

- Building analytical plans on accounts, and secure buy-in from client and internal stakeholders

- Leading / participating in telephonic or in-person hypothesis gathering sessions, and moderate client discussions

- Leading a team to conduct research as per standard industry protocols using multiple methodologies

- Guiding multiple project teams to cull-out insights and recommendations for the client, and help present project outcomes in client conversations

- Demonstrating subject matter expertise and gravitas in business areas (such as CPG and Retail) to help add validity and relevance to findings from an engagement

- Ensuring high levels of productivity and quality in the managed engagements

New Account Development

- Working closely with the sales leadership to develop new client accounts and new areas of business

- Leading and supporting revenue growth by providing subject matter expertise in the design and delivery phases of engagements

Special Projects:

- Managing any special projects/initiatives depending on the business need

Requirements:

- MBA / Post-Graduation from a reputed Management Institute

- 12+ years of experience in delivering Strategic Insights engagements across CPG & Retail sectors, focused on the US and European markets

- Solid experience of leading project-based engagements and delivering findings to senior client stakeholders

- Exposure of managing profitability of accounts, and driving revenue growth through Account Farming and Business Development support

- Proficiency in leveraging more than one methodology for data collection is a must

- Desk Research, Quantitative Primary Research, Qualitative Primary Research, Social Media Analytics and Syndicated Data Analysis

- Exposure of working on-site with European and American clients
