Director - Production Support/IT Operations - Debt/Credit Card Services - IT (15-22 yrs)
Position: Director Production Support and IT Operations-Debt and Credit Card Services (Leading MNC IT Company)
Role:
- Responsible for leading the team that provides 24/7 production support for Debit and Credit Card Platforms within Card Services
- Accountability: ownership for several core and ancillary systems managing 100M+ daily transactions.
- Responsible for hiring, retaining, mentoring and building a top notch team within Operations.
- Maintain the 24/7 health of the technology platforms including Unix/Linux, Wintel, Oracle, MS SQL, Jboss, Weblogicand Cloudera suite.
- Experience with Cloud, Hybrid cloud, PAAS, IAAS environments and technologies preferred.
- Develops and implements a Technology Operations & Support Service strategy for the platforms supported that aligns with the mission and goals of IT Operations as a whole.
- Champion the process improvement initiatives across Enterprise Technology Operations and the business to ensure that optimum customer service is obtained.
- Manage application and system walk-through of technical and operational features, functions and attributes as participant/leader of project teams.
- Change Agent: process improvement and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain performance metrics for critical business applications.
- Provide leadership and team support, managing escalations.
- Document standard operational procedures.
- Lead the Internal Tools Applications Support team in 24x7 support of production applications, and participate in resolution of escalated incident calls
- Oversee and ensure the integrity of the Dispute application production systems on a day-to-day basis to ensure uninterrupted services and that SLAs are met
- Collaborate with Information Security to monitor usage, identify potential threats/risks, and to mitigate all security exposures through immediate actions, proactive changes, and technology updates.
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux Java development support, shell scripting, Kafka and Oracle operations is required with experience troubleshooting of production applications within lower and upper multi-tier environments.
- Knowledge of current monitoring tools such as Splunk and ExtraHop, etc. and ability to create dashboards and reporting for teams to use to take action.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of related business experience, with a demonstrated ability to navigate matrixed organizations to facilitate system optimizations which maximize enterprise architectural best practices.
- Proven experience driving a technical team through the design and execution of a DevOps driven support organization.
- Experience developing and managing global teams and follow the sun support models.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Superb client service skills with both creative and analytical mind-set.
- Mature disposition and personable; able to work well within teams across continents/time zones.
- Highly collaborative, yet able to function well independently.
- At least 2 years of deep experience in DevOps and Agile environments in a leadership role .
- Experience with transformation, system integration or conversions is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of storage, network and compute technologies in a hybrid cloud environment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams in the delivery of complex projects
- Strong business and financial acumen
