We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic individual with a proven track record in software product management (SaaS or PaaS solutions) to own this initiative(s),build, roll-out and manage products that deliver the company's vision and strategy. Passion for building products that make a difference to our customers is a key trait that we are seeking. Prior experience in the Higher Education domain will be a plus.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop, Manage and Own the product roadmap. Present the same to senior stake holders with appropriate business cases for management/board approvals.

- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.

- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.

- Conduct detailed market research which includes a) competition analysis (features, pricing, their positioning, gaps in product) b) Study new market opportunities for the product c) Understand the dynamics and shift in the existing markets d) Study the operations of international offices worldwide e) Conduct surveys, pilot committees with existing clients.

- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth by adoption.

- Continuously review existing client feedback that can feed into the product roadmap.

- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes

- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact

- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources

- Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members

- Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed

- Develop product pricing and positioning strategies

- Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services

Job requirements:

- Proven work experience in product management

- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle

- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to senior management

- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies

- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job

- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization (important)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
