Role: Director - Industry Relations and Placements

Reporting to- Vice Chancellor

Experience- 10+ years

Location- Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh & Kattankulathur, Chennai

The recruited members will play an integral part in the creation and development of the new university and will assist in determining its strategy and direction. The successful candidates will be part of the senior management team reporting to the Vice Chancellor to develop the University's overall strategies, policies and programs.

As a Director - Industry Relation & Placement the candidate will focus on broadening the relationship with industry/ corporate to foster meaningful interactions leading to campus placements, strategic tie-up, campus visits, invitation to special events & announcements.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Director- Industry Relations, so designated in relation to the authority concerned, shall be-

- To prepare a blueprint for Industry- Institute Collaboration for the university

- To formulate the formal agreements as per the university's policies and to satisfy the expectations of various accreditation & ranking agencies and statutory committees

- To serve as a single point of contact of university to provide industry related details for accreditation, ranking agencies, government and other expert committees

- To develop industrial research and consultancy

- To conduct continuing education and updation programs for industrial personnel

- To setup centers of excellence, collaborative laboratories with industries, and specialized testing centers

- To involve industrial personnel in teaching and learning process, curriculum design and to participate on the board / committees

- To contact prospective employers to determine needs and to explain placement service.

- To arrange on-campus interviews between employers and graduating students to facilitate placement of graduates

- To plan for participation / organizing career fairs

- To promote employer visitation and on-campus recruiting efforts and plans and organize on-site employer visits

Requirements/Eligibility:

- Master's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute

- Preference would be given to candidate having at least 10 years of experience in similar profile with a reputed University / Higher Educational Institution

- Preference would be given for candidates from top engineering institutes with global exposure handling large volume of students

- Candidates are expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must have an intimate knowledge of the higher education landscape in India and internationally

- Candidates with the will to drive the vertical completely by recruiting their own team and set up the policies

Compensation: 28-36 LPA
