DIRECTOR - PARTNERSHIP/FRANCHISEE - Travel, India

Position Overview:

The role's focus and responsibility is to develop an airport experience ecosystem in India through managing the relationships, incentives, and experience of our airport lounge providers, airports and other third parties aligned with our global strategy. That includes airport lounges, airport merchants, spas etc. Services are central to our Travel Experiences products such as Premium Pass, Lounge Key, and Lounge Pass; and also wider group businesses and business opportunities.

This role will focus on securing competitive commercial terms to enhance margins from transactions and also securing exclusivity where appropriate to restrict competitive activity. The successful candidate will seek to drive an innovative approach with partners, work and integrate with them to build value-added relationships to provide an enriched and friction less end-consumer experience. Through effective supplier management and price negotiation, this position must make a key contribution to the overall profitability of the India market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Partner Management - source, prospect, negotiate and manage relevant commercial partnerships to broaden the scope, size and value of our airport experience ecosystem. Understand the broader commercial context of airport experience locations, pricing and contractual terms; execute a regional strategy in line with the global approach that delivers expected results.

- Budget setting and P&L Delivery - Define the lounge and merchant component of the annual budget. Manage the end-to-end process to ensure delivery of the budget and defined margins.

- Commercial Negotiation - ensure optimum commercial terms and conditions for new partnerships as well as strengthening and leveraging the terms and scope of current relationships. Own the value optimization program for airport lounges and merchants, and work closely with Procurement to leverage our group regional demand volumes, to deliver cost efficiencies and drive profitability.

- Contract Management - ensure preferential contractual terms are in place to reflect the global scale of the business.

- Content Management - ensure the integrity and accuracy of partnership content and develop new efficiencies to manage and broaden scope of content to market.

- Analysis and Reporting - collate, analyse and provide analytical insight into the performance of the partnership and its potential growth.

- Marketing - collaborate with Marketing to plan and enable partners to have the best exposure through different channels. Elaborate and cooperate in the strategic marketing plan to ensure best in class marketing and brand support across the Travel Platform and airport ecosystem.

Requirements:

- Proven success in conducting business and building merchant relationships within commercial airports

- Experience in the travel, airline, hospitality or other service related fields

- Bachelors/Master's Degree in Business or related discipline

- 10+ years of overall professional experience, with relevant experience in managing key, business relationships

- Experience in managing Supplier Relations

- Ability to persuade and influence at a senior level

- Strong commercial acumen and negotiating skills

- Key account management techniques and practices

- Excellent relationship builder. Demonstrable skills in communications at all levels (including face to face, via phone and in writing), both in partner-facing and internal environments, including an adaptive and flexible style that facilitates strong relationship development with senior executives, managers, supervisors, and staff

- Essential highly numerate with sound analytical skill

- Strong networker and communicator

- Inherent desire to keep up to date with competitor information and market trends

- Excellent inter-personal, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills

- Assertive, initiative, independent, methodical, detailed-oriented, highly organized in work procedures

- Excellent command of written and spoken English

- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
