Director - Operations - Wealth Management - Investment Bank (9-13 yrs)

Key Responsibilities Include :

Daily Supervisory oversight of the functions the team are responsible for :

- Manage and implement supervisory procedures

- Escalating risk related items to management on a timely and effective manner, set out in the Service Level Agreements & KRI Thresholds

- Acting as the key point contact person / Stakeholder Management

Management Reporting :

- Fostering an open communication environment to encourage streamline mindset for effective and better process.

- Managing the team as a whole to provide guidance and encouragement through regular training and catchup.

Manage ad-hoc business requests :

- Pro-actively contributing towards the drive to improve process efficiency

- Involvement in projects requiring IWM Asia operations input

Managing team capacity, with flexibility to cover BAU tasks for team coverage if necessary, including but not limited to :

- Processing of asset transfer requests (Payments / Receipts) from the business

- Liaise with business to clarify any discrepancies

- Work with authorizers to ensure asset transfer requests are processed in a timely manner

- Liaise with the various departments to resolve any issues that may affect the timely settlement of the asset transfers

- Processing of journals

The Ideal Candidate Will Be/have :

- 9-13 years of experience in Investment Banking Operations or financial services industry (preferably with Asset Transfer, Payments and Settlements functions)

- Attention to detail, accuracy & quality

- Have a strong Risk framework mindset

- Experience in escalating risk issues to senior management or other business stakeholders

- People management experience (1-2-1-s, annual appraisals, performance management)

- Experience preparing team procedures and assessing team controls

- Ability to work in a fast pace environment

- Able to work in a fluid team environment and within tight deadlines

- Strong in building relationship with Senior stakeholders
