Job Purpose
To plan, execute and manage the operations function in order to ensure sustainability, smooth functioning of the campus on a world-class standards at optimal costs. in a safe and secure environment at all times.
Job Outline
The Operations function plays a key role in providing the best services to the internal & external customers and ensures the institute's requirements with regard to facilities, security and utilities maintenance are planned and executed to high quality standards at optimal costs and timely delivery.
The jobholder as Director - Operations performs a set of key responsibilities which facilitates the Institution to maintain the campus, the facilities, services and other operational requirements to world-class standards. The jobholder is supposed to continually monitor and develop departmental strategies in relation to operations.
The jobholder needs to manage the operations budget, minimize cost without compromising on the quality of the services. S/he is required to oversee the performance of all related vendors in the campus so that they are aligned with the institute's regulations. In order to bring about changes in the vendor contract the jobholder is required to work in consultation with Deputy Dean.
The jobholder needs to interact with the key internal and external stakeholders for ensuring that operational needs of the campus are met and addressed. S/he also needs to interact and present the Institution's view at different Sustainability forums for increasing sustainability awareness across and beyond.
To strive towards, secure and maintain internationally recognized certifications, such as, ISO, LEED, HACCP, etc.
In order to ensure effective execution of the job, S/he is also required to provide the guidance and support to his / her team on a need basis.
