Qualification and Experience: Ph.D. (Media / Journalism) with minimum 12 years of experience in academics.

Age Limit: 45-50 years

Location: Pune

Job Profile:

1.To oversee the design and development of the curriculum of Media and Journalism program.

2.To transfer knowledge including practical skills, methods and techniques.

3.Encourage the faculty members to adopt innovative approaches to course design and delivery.

4.Ensure that teaching design and delivery comply with the quality and educational standards and regulations of the University.

5.Ensure proper utilization of the faculty members and monitor their performance.

6.Take feedback from students at equal intervals to improve and enhance the teaching quality.

7.Ensure all the faculty members follow their timetable and also monitor deadlines of student projects, field trips and seminars, events and other activities.

8.Take regular rounds within the campus and observe proper implementation of the tasks assigned.

9.Organize FDP's and MDP- s, workshops, training programs, conferences national and international.

10.Organizing invited talks, distinguished lecture series by eminent personalities from the industry.

11.Supervise academic counselling committee.

12.Quality initiative and introduction of innovative methods for school of Media n Journalism.

13.Introduce new courses and programs for certificate diploma and degree level for the school.

14.Launch of MIT-WPU community radio.

15.Give industry exposure to the students in the field of media and journalism.

16.Encourage faculty members for research studies, write research papers and publications, enhance their knowledge by giving them exposure to various streams.

17.Ensure 100% placement of students.

18.Ensue proper and timely promotions of the course by highlighting the USP's to increase the quality intake of students.

19.Ensure safety of the students.

20.Ensure all the queries / grievances of the students are addressed on time.

21.Ensure the examinations are conducted religiously as per the University standards.

22.Participate in various social initiatives of the Universities.

23.Monitor the performances of the staff and act as mentor for them.

24.Ensure all the classes start on time.

25.Participate and coordinate research activities.

26.Counsel the students as required.

27.Perform other tasks as and when assigned.
