Director - Management Consulting - People Advisory/People & Organization Practice (8-20 yrs)

Role Purpose

The incumbent of this role is a key face of the firm and the People & Organization practice in the market. The focus of the role is to drive profitable, top-line growth while ensuring capability development for a sustainable practice. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate thought leadership and the ability to work with the C-Suite of potential and existing clients to develop and deliver high-impact solutions that leverage the expertise of the consulting firm as a whole (Management Consulting as well as Advisory), with specific focus on P&O as a competency.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development - Mapping the market and independently/jointly identifying and leading pursuits across industry verticals and offerings. Supporting the firm's key account strategy by driving focus on critical accounts for the practice as well as support national/global accounts. Crafting and representing the P&O point of view in external and internal [cross-functional, multi-disciplinary] forums, independently or in alignment with the larger firm perspective. Leading solution definition by weaving together the client's perspective with firm's expertise and creating/communicating a compelling value proposition for clients. Ensuring adherence to firms commercial, independence and risk guidelines.

Business Delivery - Playing the role of a Subject Matter Expert to drive execution excellence. Reviewing frameworks, processes and deliverables to ensure alignment with firm's risk, quality and delivery excellence guidelines.

Thought Leadership - Partnering with the larger team to author/curate/contribute in developing the research base of the practice. Work with member firms globally to understand the firm's capability repertoire and look at how to position that in the Indian context more effectively.

Practice Management - Support strategy development and deployment for the practice. Drive focus on key processes at a P&O level e.g. capability building, etc.

Team Management - Leading a team of consultants / senior consultants in project contexts as well as a people manager. Providing feedback and helping them develop by balancing their aspirations with firm/practice expectations.

Experience

- End-to-end human capital subject knowledge with deep knowledge and experience in 1-2 specific areas

- Deep industry knowledge of 2-3 industry verticals [references of 2-3 CHROs]

- Strong academic credentials
