Director - Livelihoods Program - International NGO

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Staff Reporting: 4 vertical heads

We are looking for a a National Lead of Livihood program.

You are expected to possess 10 to 12 years in the social sector experience out of which 5 years must have been in a similar leadership role managing youth development program.

Role breakup :

- Head the Design and strategy for Livelihoods

- Execute the existing livelihood programme implementation design, including HR Structure, Roles and Responsibilities.

- Project Manage the program at National Level with the help of national and regional teams. Oversee quality of delivery across the country.

- Implement a measurement framework for monitoring and evaluation of program.

- Establish and manage partnerships with corporate, government and quazi government agencies for referral, placement, training and capacity building thereby creation of employability to the youth at national, regional and local levels.

- Develop training content on Leadership and Livelihood and equip state trainers

- Design and conceptualize curriculums on leadership and livelihood for youth and communities in the areas of leadership and livelihood on an ongoing basis to meet the demand of youth to move into employment and from employers.

Desired Competencies:

- Strong leadership skills including ability to influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

- Expert knowledge of the employability, vocational and life skills training markets.

- Good salesperson who can spot opportunities and identify incentives that will hook the target audience.

- Thorough knowledge of various research tools and techniques in the area of curriculum development.

- Experience in training content development and training

- Experience in developing and supervising Research and M&E activities

- Knowledge of leadership & livelihood and community program.

- Knowledge of creating employment opportunities for youth

- Knowledge of creating curriculum, execution and delivery

- Understand basic behavioral change theory.

- Knowledge of implementation of community program

- Knowledge of development sector, and high networking and connections with NGOs, Govt agencies at different levels.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Experience of implementing change management processes and new programme start ups.

- Excellent professional use of oral and written English.

Qualification : Masters degree in Management / Social Work / any other Social Sciences / Physical Education / Sports.
