Director - Learning & Development (10-15 yrs)

Director Learning & Development position is part of the Human Resources function responsible for supporting in driving the execution of the Talent and Learning initiatives.

A Dual Reporting in to the Chief People Officer and the Co-founder, this position is primarily responsible for providing talent and learning advisory and managing execution of learning initiatives talent management, leadership development including talent planning, succession, career management, learning and training delivery, partnering closely with HR colleagues.

An ideal candidate for this role shall be the one with an experience between 10-15 years with an experience in start up's and a background of driving tech and behavioral interventions in the space of L&D

This role shall be based out of Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

- Act as a liaison between the business stakeholders, HR Business Partners, and the HR Leadership team to ensure learning and talent programs are aligned to business needs.

- Design, drive and execute technology training interventions and behavioural training modules

- Driving L&D programs and initiatives for the campus hires

- Ensure successful learning and talent outcomes by supporting the identification and translation of the client's capability and skill needs into a defined learning and talent strategy with recommended solutions

- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify performance needs and gaps, define desired performance outcomes, and provide recommendations for learning and talent solutions, as appropriate

- Manages implementation of major talent initiatives which may include large-scale leadership development, performance management, succession planning, career development programs, employee engagement surveys and talent assessment programs

- Effectively establish, deepen, and sustain key relationships with business stakeholders and other HR functions

- Provide feedback to the HR teams to support design and delivery of learning and talent solutions to the business

- Play an advisory role across change management, organization design and effectiveness

- Drives large-scale talent projects through to implementation and serves as primary point of contact for escalation and problem resolution

- Maintains working knowledge of external market best practices and offers thought leadership or advisory to the HR function and business leaders internally on talent programs and initiatives

- Provide stakeholders with relevant data and analysis to determine the effectiveness of learning and talent programs on achieving business outcomes

Experience and Key Skills

- Masters or equivalent degree is desirable

- Preferred experience of working with Analytics organisations or high growth start ups

- Ability to work under ambiguity

- Prior experience in Talent Development/Talent Management/ OD and training within a fast paced organization and matrix structure

- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt style and approaches to varied audiences and stakeholder groups

- Experienced in coaching employees and identifying development needs

- Demonstrable expertise in building strong relationships, collaborating across geographical boundaries, networking, negotiating and influencing skills

- Strong Microsoft excel and PowerPoint presentation skills

- Prior experience in group or team facilitation is essential

- Leverage knowledge of learning principles and best practices in learning needs assessments, design, development, implementations, and evaluation to advise the business on new learning programs.

- Demonstrate flexibility and agility in partnering with the business to design and develop new talent & learning programs as different teams have different needs.

- Build strategic relationships with key business stakeholders allowing you to advise on critical learning or talent needs or program design, development, and implementation.
