Director - Leadership Development (Media) (10-14 Years)
Media Organization - Mumbai
To lead the design and delivery of leadership development programs to build high performing talent.
Key Responsibilities -
Program Design and Delivery:
- Drive deployment of the integrated leadership framework of the organization and establish clear linkages with other talent management processes.
- Design and drive deployment of the leadership journey for leaders across creative and senior management.
- Facilitate in-depth ROI study of leadership development programs and prepare a compelling pitch for steady uptake from business.
- Build program design and facilitate deployment of entry level development programs - creative and management trainees and mid-level managers across business and corporate roles.
- Facilitate learning programs for entry level and middle level development programs.
- Drive effectiveness of entry level and mid management leadership development programs year-on-year and build program brand for internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management:
- Develop impactful relationships with stakeholders across levels to seek design inputs, buy-in for new programs, feedback for improvisation and program reporting.
- Facilitate discussions with BU Heads/ Function Heads to draw insights and action plan basis quarterly dashboards.
Annual Plan and Budget
- Create annual plan basis key focus areas of engagement.
- Optimize costs and manage LD budgets to maximise ROI.
Partner Management
- Identify and develop alliances with partner/ consulting firms to build research and design capabilities for key programs.
- Oversee vendor quotes, contracts, negotiations, cost closures and vendor payments.
Internal Team Collaboration:
- Build ownership amongst cross functional teams for programs/ initiatives across internal teams (BUHR, HR COEs, Internal Comms, Strategy etc) by clarifying the objective and success parameters. Process Adherence
- Implement and ensure adherence to agreed by the organization & HR SOPs in execution of deliverables.
Team Management
- Provide inputs to the Function Head to create a workforce plan in alignment with the overall HR plan for the business, highlighting future staffing and skill requirements.
- Identify skill gaps and training needs for each team member, and guide their development journey to build a talent pipeline.
- Support and guide the team in setting up and achieving their goals.
- Manage team performance through feedback and coaching.
- Engage in regular check-ins with the team members and provide recognition.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Number and quality of leadership development program deliverables as assessed by client satisfaction.
- Coverage of participants across leadership development programs through the year
- Evolution of program design, branding and tools deployed year-on-year
- Cost optimization and effective management of budgets.
- Complete adherence to commercial, legal, financial, internal HR processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years experience
- MBA in HR/ M.A. in Organizational Psychology/ Organizational Behavior.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Leadership Development.
