Director - IT Engineering - IT Captive Firm

Position: Director - IT Engineering (Leading MNC IT Captive)

Role :

- Responsible for delivering enterprise layer cloud solutions by managing highly trained and multiple diverse delivery teams in agile software development.

- Having hands on experience with microservices, containerization, and APIs will help you lead these teams to successful delivery.

- This is an exciting time at the Company and these teams play an important role in delivering core services as part of the Company's digital transformation of monolithic systems to a service-oriented platform.

- Collaborate with the product and architecture teams to create a "best-in-class" cloud-native platform by leveraging modern architecture principals to build an enterprise scale solution, deployed globally in multiple data center providers.

- Hands on strategic and technical leadership for the Company's cloud platform enterprise services to enable multiple diverse organizations to deliver engineering solutions

- Work with enterprise and domain architects to define the cloud strategy, while developing and designing proof-of-concepts and providing direction in the ultimate delivery of the services

- Support and lead technical conversations, including architecture and technology patterns

- Integrate security and compliance standards for the environments that support millions of worldwide customers

- Lead the implementation of best-in-class software development and dev-ops practices

- Communicate with peers to help prioritize projects and communicate delivery status

- Manage the operational and capital expenses to the given budget to meet company initiatives

- Establish and report on key performance metrics for both new cloud services and team personnel

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent

- 15+ yrs of experience in IT Software Engineering

- 7-10 years of experience managing teams developing cloud applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

- Extensive experience with Java and/or .NET

- Extensive experience in developing APIs and microservices

- Experience with containerization and orchestration, preferably using Docker & Kubernetes

- Experience using DevOps tools and processes; creation of CI/CD pipelines

- Strong understanding of Architectural Patterns
