Director - International Accounting (10-25 yrs)
Hiring for Director International Accounting.
Job Description:
- 10+ years of relevant accounting experience; technology company experience preferred
- Knowledge of US accounting standards under GAAP, and IFRS as applicable
Reporting: The Director will manage the financial close process, payroll, vendor relations, and ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance standards.
Role Responsibilities:
- Own the financial close process and financial statements for an international entity, that needs to be consolidated under a US parent company
- Manage and ensure payroll is processed and funded in a timely matter
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed, for working capital needs
- Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
- Coordinate audits and the proper filing of tax returns
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
- Manage international banking relationships.
- Ensure that the company complies with all global legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain record keeping that meets the requirements of auditors and all government agencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA/CMA/CA and/or MBA is a plus
- Experience working as a subsidiary or business unit of a US-based company is a plus
- 10+ years of relevant accounting experience; technology company experience preferred
- Knowledge of US accounting standards under GAAP, and IFRS as applicable
- Demonstrated excellence in finance, accounting, budgeting, controls, and reporting
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Suite, specifically MS Excel
- Experience with financial and accounting systems such as Quickbooks
- Ability to work independently, and also in teams, in a collaborative environment
- Experience managing multiple disparate projects and discerning prioritization
- Critical thinking skills and a data-driven mindset
