Director - Information Technology - NGO (8-15 yrs)
We have been retained by our client that is a leading non-governmental organization in India with focuses issues at the root cause of gender inequality in India's education system.
Job Location: Mumbai
Responsibilities :
IT Function :
- Oversee entire IT department, including application to hosting & security
- Liaise between all parties to understand requirements and how best to meet them
- Procure buy in from senior management for needed projects
- Help to prioritize short and long term objectives
- Stay up to date on security risks and ensure corporate security
- Report progress and challenges to senior management
- Work to meet the overall corporate goals
- Ensure resolution of all reported issues on quick and efficient turnaround time
Education & Other Required Qualifications/Experience/Skills for the Job
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required; master's degree is a plus
- Minimum 8 years- experience in the technology field
- Minimum 3 years- experience in leadership or management in an IT setting
- Solid working knowledge of current security protocols and threats
- Hands-on coding experience in one platform & exposure to other platforms
- Ability to foresee possible issues and troubleshoot them proactively
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work with people from varied backgrounds and levels
