LOCATION: INDIA

ROLE OVERVIEW :

We are looking for an experienced Director of HR and Operations to provide executive level guidance and leadership to company's HR function and operations. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for setting, developing, implementing and overseeing the HR functions/goals, Operations, strategies and team to deliver a best-in class employee experience and operations for our India team (300+ employees), while establishing company as an employer of choice to attract and retain talent. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer in Canada, you will act as the main leader for all of India's HR and Operations, with many opportunities to develop and grow your career and team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee all aspects of HR - own the entire HR Function and establish solid foundation for growth

 - Establish best practices for HR compliance, process, policies, procedures, governance, etc.

- Implement HR structure, strategy and plan to support current needs, priorities and growth in all areas, including: talent acquisition, talent management, learning/coaching, compensation, total rewards (benefits, wellness, incentives), employee engagement

- Act as foundational and change leader to transform the HR organization

- Partner with executive team and other leaders to align business strategy to people strategy

- Grow company employer brand equity

- Promote a culture of innovation, growth, accountability

- Oversee all aspects of Operations for India - project management, internal operations and finance operations

- Strategic thinking/ business knowledge: business/financial acumen- ability to see the big picture, interconnectedness of decisions and activities across various teams

- Strong problem solving and creative skills

- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

- Strong track record in thriving in a high energetic, fast-moving environment

- Tech-savvy: knowledge of unique solutions/ challenges of how HR functions can be affected by technologically enhanced business environment

EXPERIENCE :

- At least 10 years of HR management experience

- Relevant HR certifications desired

- Excellent knowledge of all aspects of HR management and practices: tactical and strategic HR functions and processes; can develop team/ process from the ground up

- In-depth knowledge about local (India) Human Resource Processes, employment legislation, and legal regulations; international knowledge desirable (Canada)

- Understanding and experience with Employer Branding and Recruitment Marketing strategies

- Experience with developing learning & development functions/ or programs

- Experience with HR tools and software

- Experience in Project Management and Operations

- Experience working with virtual and international teams, managing diverse, multi-geography workforce across Canada, US, India

- Work experience in a software or technology company preferred
