Who we're looking for:

As Director Human Resources, you will report to the Global HR Director who is based in Santa Clara, CA and collaborate with the Executive Team on strategic human resource planning to provide the organization with a world-class employee experience to position the organization as the employer of choice while being instrumental in creating a high-performance environment.

This position will be based in Mumbai.

Your area of responsibility:

- Be the senior person to lead and grow the HR team

- Develop and implement short and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for the HR function

- Lead the human resources team day-to-day operations including recruiting, employee relations, performance management, career development, compensation, benefits and payroll

- Consistently ensure that personnel policies, procedures, and practices comply with applicable laws and are consistent with organizational values

- Represent HR responding to employee concerns and other complaints/improper employee-related conduct; ensure counseling and prompt investigation for all legal-related matters; seek legal counsel when appropriate

- Provide coaching and development opportunities for employees related to their career development

- Translate the strategic and tactical business plans and the company's growth objectives into HR/people-oriented strategic and operational plans

- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the attraction, motivation, development, and retention of the people resources of the corporation

- Support diversity and inclusion efforts through the development of programs that allow the business unit to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to permit the full development and performance of all employees

- Implement and oversee the annual employee performance objective setting and review process and ensure that employees are fully aware of their standing within the company; continually strive for a peak-performance culture

- Provide coaching and support to managers in the successful delivery of annual performance cycles to include performance improvement, goal setting, and development programs

- Manage projects that are assigned as appropriate; examples include, but not limited to, organizational restructuring, compensation reviews, merit recommendations, recruiting analysis, turnover analysis, monthly reports, etc.

- Develop and manage annual human resources budget and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses

- Develop credibility with all employees as a resource, partner, service provider and problem-solver

- Perform other duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

- Masters degree or equivalent in human resources or related field

- 10+ years of experience in HR with progressive leadership responsibilities, strong organization development

- Several years of recent experience as the top human resources executive of a medium-sized, growing organization, ideally a software technology development organization affiliated with a U.S.-based company

- Significant experience building strong relationships with business leaders, co-workers, direct reports, and recruitment vendors

- Generalist background with deep knowledge of all HR functions (recruitment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, payroll, and training and development)

- Superior interpersonal abilities; proven ability to get along with diverse personalities; must be tactful, flexible and expressive

- Solid reasoning abilities and the ability to drive change with strong influencing skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Resourceful, well organized, and proven ability to prepare and present a business case to senior leadership

- Participative management style; advocate of the team concept

- Results and people-oriented, possessing sound judgment and the ability to balance business and employee considerations

- Demonstrated ability to adapt work style to be successful with colleagues across time zones and geographies
