Position Description
Regulatory & Cross Product Operations is spread across globally in multiple locations 40% of its Operations run of India across multiple functional verticals like Regulatory Reporting, Client Assets, Trader & Counterparty Surveillance, Nostro, Depot & Intersystem Reconciliations, Embedded Risk & Quality Assurance functions. The regional head of this function in India will have responsibility to oversee day to day operations in India working in collaboration with Global Functional Heads in a horizontal construct.
Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Managing day to day Operations across Regulatory & Cross Product Operations in India in a horizontal capacity working in partnership with global functional heads
- Responsible as the regional head of India to deliver functional operations with strong focus on controls, operational risk mitigation & zero loss of service
- Managing regional touch points, senior stakeholder relationships & overarching representation of the RCP brand in all senior engagements & opportunities
- Promoting an inclusive culture with a diverse work force with a look out to retain top talent
- Provides dynamic leadership with sound decision making, escalates timely on all risks and managing stakeholders at all levels
- Gain & inculcate deeper understanding of each functional vertical and associated deliverables with a very strong understanding and knowledge of emerging regulatory landscape, rules and obligations
- Manage the regional governance aspects including but not limited to Performance Review Boards for the department, Vendor Governance, Business Continuity and others
- Regular oversight, monitoring and relationship of our external vendors with who we have strategic partnerships working in collaboration with the functional heads

Experience/ Exposure
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an investment banking operations construct delivering critical operational aspects
- Thorough knowledge of the underlying regulatory and legal requirements across multiple local jurisdictions.
- A deep understanding of investment banking, regulatory landscape and potential implications of not meeting regulatory obligations
- Proven experience of building controls around operational processes and delivering process reengineering, management information
- Deep experience of having worked in matrix organisations with strong track record of relationship building from a regional Vs global construct
- Familiarity managing against tight financials and efficiency targets with a - can do- mind-set to change e.g. removing inefficient processes, invest in automation
- Managing relationships with both internal parties (front office, COO, compliance, legal, credit risk management, etc.) and external bodies (mainly External Vendors)
- Familiar with processes, governance and knowledge required to run a service centre operational construct
- The ability to independently manage senior stakeholders and clearly and precisely able to present to a senior audience
- Excellent communication skills. The ability to connect at all levels and communicate in a relevant manner and to articulate
