We are seeking a world-class Director of Product Development, who can help us build and lead a team of developers, designers and product managers to create something truly ground-breaking!

As Product Director reporting to the CEO, you will work closely with the Director of R&D to spearhead the development of a world-class, agile product development organisation that can operate in a fast-moving environment, work with stakeholders remotely and across functions, and build and develop an exciting, massive scale platform and marketplace using lean and agile approaches.

The Director will have both B2B and B2C development experience. Knowing how to lead and inspire creatives, developers and product managers to devise world leading commercial products will be massively important in this role. You will be a - living bridge- between the engineering and development teams on the one hand and the content and business teams on the other ensuring that the core vision is clearly translated for the R&D department to effectively implement.

ROLE SUMMARY :

- The Product Director is responsible for building, developing and managing the company product function to the highest quality standards.

- The Director would assemble, nurture and lead high performing teams who have been working on the MVP through to Product Launch and finally large-scale development and operational deployment.

- The Director will embed and continuously drive lean start-up and agile product development methods to application development, with high market engagement throughout development and fortnightly sprints, and build a culture of continuous learning and improvement to ensure the team remains at the top of its game.

- The Director will assemble, lead and support Product and Application Development teams, working closely with BA And UX leaders and with the wider R&D team.

- The Director is responsible for leading cross-functional teams (developers, UX and product managers) to develop and innovate the platform, working closely across all business functions and in response to changing user and market demand.

- The Director will instill and model the shared company values to ensure staff and clients of company enjoy the same high standards and experience.

KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Provide a high degree of expertise and experience in lean start-up approaches to product development, including Design Thinking, Agile Development, Lean UX, and use this knowledge to lead product development efforts.

- Build strong organizational partnerships with company senior leaders of Marketing, Business Development and Operations to develop the platform.

- Propose, secure, and effectively manage budgets to support product development.

- Lead groups of professionals, both within the direct reporting line comprising product managers and UX experts along with cross-functional teams from across the organization, during conceptualization, design, development and deployment of new products.

- Develop and maintain a business continuity plan, product security plan and other related processes as it evolves and scales.
