The Role Responsibilities

- Setup the Analytics center of excellence (CoE) from ground-up for Risk Appetite and Analytics organization within the wider CFCC (Conduct and Financial Crime Compliance) organization.

- The CoE will be initially 15 members in size with core team in India and supported by distributed teams in Poland and other global locations.

- The CoE will create Predictive and Prescriptive Analytical work products to support pro-active risk identification that provides risk management insights and
foresights both in financial and non-financial crime risk sub-types.

- The risk management work products need to be aligned with business risks that will drive business leaders to make conscious and objective risk management decisions supported by data and science. The business decisions will drive revenue generation, loss minimization/avoidance, meet/exceed regulatory expectations, conduct and ESG goals aligned with the bank's risk appetite and tolerance.

- The business geographies are global in nature and business areas cover CPBB (consumer, private, & business banking) and CIB (corporate and institutional banking) domain.

- The role is a leadership role and not a managerial role and is techno-functional in nature. While this leader may be able to delegate management of the group to other members, it will be their responsibility to make sure they lead the group to success.

- The role is both internal and external focussed.

Internal:

- Will lead the team of data scientists, data modellers and business analysts and guide them to deliver predictive and prescriptive analytical work products for the business units.

External

- Will be the main person interacting with the various business units and understand their risk management needs and requirements and translate them into high value Analytical work products. These products should drive the demand for future Analytical work products for the business units proving the value of the Analytics CoE.

Will need to be able to talk about the business value of analytics, not the math, and continuously advocate and sell the value provided by the analytics across the organization. This person will need to be able to talk with confidence to executives about the business value of analytics without being too technical, with data scientists about analytics, and with the data PUBLIC manager and others more on the IT side of the organization about hardware.

- The role is both strategic and operational in nature and needs both depth and breadth. The execution should be agile with delivery managed in short-cycles.

- Need to manage and influence senior stakeholders in business units and at the same time attract and retain top talent and enable their career success and progression.

- Should be able to scale-up the organization to support wider CFCC units through value creation and shaping up future demand for Analytical work products. Strategy

- Awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model appropriate to the role.

Business

- Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates.

Processes

- Awareness and understanding of the process universe in the CFCC domain and ensures appropriate CFCC and Group processes are followed in the execution of day to day activities

- Drive the development and maintenance of required project documentation including: business requirements, functional requirements, technical specifications and test plans

- Suggest and implement process improvement and data collection opportunities

People and Talent

- Provide leadership, management and coaching to direct reports to ensure they are highly engaged and performing to their potential.

- Promote and embed a culture of openness, trust and risk awareness, where ethical, legal, regulatory and policy compliant conduct is the norm.

- Stimulate an environment where forward planning, prioritisation, deadline management and streamlined workflows and collaborative, inclusive yet effective and efficient work practices are the norm.

- Collaborate with training teams to input to training curriculum to support closing of capability gaps.

- Ensure staff in the respective team have clearly articulated and well understood roles and responsibilities through meaningful and accurate job descriptions.

PUBLIC

- Build a culture of effective communication within the team to keep high level of engagement within staff at all levels.

- Managing day to day tasks within the team by ensuring active communication and collaboration among the team members and stakeholders

- Develop and implement a transparent model of measuring performance through regular meetings

- Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with stakeholders.

Risk Management

- Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility.

Governance

- Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the firm operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role

- Deliver 'effective governance'; challenge fellow executives effectively; and work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.

- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics

- This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Key Stakeholders

- Work with senior members of the CFCC team and wider business to identify risks and steps to mitigate them.

- Work with senior members of the CFCC team and wider business to communicate discrepancies in expected thresholds in models and work collaboratively in order to remediate issues as they arise.

- Supports global regulatory interaction, particularly in relation to requests for information from regulators.

- Ensure that business relationships with data providers are healthy and are in the best interests of RAA's objectives.
