Director - Financial Control - Financial Services

Our client is an international financial services provider engaged in personal banking, credit cards, corporate and investment banking and wealth management with an extensive presence in Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia.

Actively seeking an experienced individual to be part of their Finance Control team primarily responsible for Financial Control, Balance Sheet Control, Legal Entities and IFRS reporting.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Manage Month End Closure including Balance sheet control and IFRS reporting.

- Monthly / Quarterly IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) reporting at Group level.

- Support P&L & Balance Sheet process.

- Deal with different LoB's and Risk teams to ensure appropriate reporting and presentation of the P&L accounts and disclosure of the balance sheet accounts.

- Lead the accounting policies review and revision process for the Company globally as well as keeping track of emerging GAAP and highlighting its potential impact to the Company to senior management.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

- Qualified Accountant - CA, CPA, ACCA.

- Professional accountancy qualification or equivalent relevant experience

- At least 15+ years of Team Management experience in a Financial Control or similar environment.

- International experience essential for this opportunity

- Demonstrate leadership ability in setting direction and prioritization

- Strong communication and influencing skills required to be successful in this role

- Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of working across teams and geographies to produce timely and accurate output.
