Job Purpose and Scope: Partner with Chief Operating Officer (COO), Plant operations, Sales Team, and supply chain teams to arrive at financial strategies and solutions to evaluate sales performance and benchmark cost elements of business. Timely realization of cost reduction opportunities and export incentives. Job details: Plant Operations: - Ensure required MIS reports get circulated accurately, on a timely basis and reviewed with the management team - Analyze planned vs. actual production, deviation in production plans, project wise material reconciliation, yield &amp; wastage analysis, overhead cost, budget vs. actual fixed costs at monthly, quarter and annual frequency - Analyze Sales price and cost trends based on regions, customers, products and provide inputs for improving the sales realization and meeting / exceeding EBITDA and ROCE targets - Determine conversion cost and product wise, and plant wise profitability basis cost of material (COM), and overheads - Analyzing &amp; reporting of purchase price variance (PPV) vs. budget and previous year - Partnering with procurement team on pricing &amp; vendor payment strategy - Support Supply &amp; Operations planning process by bringing in relevant insights about Inventory, sales trends and other measures as necessary - Support overall strategy of Agri team in ensuring supply chain security at an optimum cost level. Analyze trend of major Agri products - Costing and inventory valuation of Agri- inputs (seeds, fertilizers etc.), and intermediates - Collaborate with fintech intermediaries/financial institutions to reduce needs of working capital in sourcing of Agri products (Marigold &amp; Paprika) Inventory Management, Costing and Productivity Management: - Lead ABC costing for operations using value stream mapping in partnership with operations team - Product Costing, Overhead's allocation &amp; Absorption, and Trade off analysis as per needs of the business - Responsible for COGS reconciliation and variance analysis between standard and actual cost - Inventory analysis, monitoring and controlling. Review inventory of RM, WIP, and FG, Days of inventory outstanding (DIO); Provide necessary insights about inventory in S&amp;OP; Propose inventory related provision as per Accounting policy and recommend Inventory liquidation and write-offs plans as per company's DOA - Liaising with the cost accountants and ensuring timely completion of cost audit - Develop visual dashboards for fixed overheads/manufacturing overhead cost as part of Lean programs - Optimize cost and inventory across value chain Capex - Co-create budgeting proposals (revenue and capex) for each unit based on expected ROCE/ROE &amp; Make recommendations for capex approvals - Decision making in the area of Capital Investment and Make or Buy Strategy - Analyze actual NPV vs. Plan for major capex to facilitate decision making Skills : - Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection - Strong knowledge of financial fundamentals backed by experience in its implementation &amp; challenges thereof - SAP experience preferred but not necessary - Good planning and organizational skills - People &amp; team management skills - Strong communication skills - Ability to work in cross-functional team - Demonstrate strong and pragmatic business acumen
