Director - Finance - eCommerce - CA (7-10 yrs)
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
Director Finance responsibilities will also include Investor reporting and financial risk management.
Responsibilities:
To head the entire finance function which includes current team of 3 experienced CAs
- Managing all finance and accounting operations
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts and reports
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Ensuring the implementation and maintenance of control systems in Finance team
- Manage and comply with statutory requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Additional duties as necessary
- This role will report directly to the CEO or the COO
Requirements and Qualifications:
- CA with at least 7-8 yrs of overall experience in combined accounting and finance experience
- Prior experience in working start ups
- Experience in FinTech/ Banking preferred
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
