Job Responsibilities :
- Build a team of engineers, team leads who can design and develop highly scalable web applications.
- Hands-on management: Must be passionate about coding and design principles.
- Helping set the strategic agenda for the technology team.
- Translating this agenda into an actionable product/tech roadmap.
- Fostering a culture of timely execution against this roadmap.
- Mentoring team members, and ensuring that they are learning and growing with the company
Preferred past background :
- B. Tech. M Tech, BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent from a top tier college
- 7-12 years of experience at cutting edge organizations or startups
- Prior experience in leading engineering teams (10+)
- Experience in enforcing engineering best practices (code reviews, testing,service-oriented architecture etc.)
- Open-source contribution will be an add-on.
- Get things done attitude
Technical Skills Required :
- NodeJs and its framework/libraries like Express, Sails, Meteor.
- Build tools like Grunt/Gulp.
- Knowledge of datasets like Redis, Memcache, Mongo Db will be a plus.
- Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization techniques will be a plus.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and its concepts like DOM, Event Propagation Model.
- Css and its preprocessors like SASS/LESS.
