This position will report to Managing Director and is based in Bangalore. ABOUT YOU: - Experience working in an early-stage startup - You are an obsessive list maker and a taskmaster who gets great pleasure from keeping others organized, problem-solving, coordinating concurrent activities, communicating with both technical and business types, and ensuring your projects are delivered on time - You are a mix of project manager and development manager, you can write specs, understand technical requirements and are able to guide a product based project from conception to launch - You have deep and broad services architecture and hands-on software engineering/ development experience and are able to roll up your sleeves and write code if needed - You take the initiative to keep projects moving and have a sense of urgency when it comes to meeting deadlines. - You know how to continuously and successfully manage complex projects to completion - You are a decision-maker What You'll Do: - Manage project plans and project teams (internal and external) to execute on plans, complete tasks and deliver releases - Manage schedules, project scope, assets, deliverable priorities and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project delivery dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed upon - Effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize all resources working across project(s) based on the scope of work and project goals - Translate product requirements into technical projects. - Act as a liaison between engineering, product, management and other stakeholders to close the communication gap and ensure that deliverables and releases align with priorities. - Communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations to team members and senior management on a weekly basis; escalate issues accordingly via the appropriate channels - Leverage Agile principles and ideas to make projects and tasks more efficient - Hold the team accountable for their commitments and provide transparency for all team activities - Deliver the robust product on time and on the budget without incurring technical debt Skills & Knowledge You Should Possess: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience required, MS a plus - 5+ years of technical project management experience leading a full stack development team - 5+ years demonstrated experience building large-scale, high-traffic, 3 tier services stacks - 4-5 years of experience designing and implementing SOA services for media-centric projects using synchronous/asynchronous and stateless processing models - Extensive expertise with services software stack architecture including building and maintaining database schemas, workflow optimization, batch processing, microservices architectures, and tiered caching architectures to optimize content delivery - Ability to create, manage, and deliver against large, interdependent project plans - Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communications skills - Ability to understand and document project requirements and dependencies - Understanding of business and functional requirements - Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical Must-Have Skills: To be considered must possess the following experience: - SOA and REST API design and development - Architecture of full-stack systems at scale - Managed the design, development and operation of one or more full-stack consumer apps at scale, including: - Native mobile apps for both iOS and Android (both phone and tablet) - Responsive web apps using either React (preferred) or Angular - Autoscaling, load-balanced, high availability, Java-based, multi-tiered, dual AZ microservices stack in AWS running on Docker containers and managed by either Fargate or Kubernetes - note that you must be able to exhibit in-depth expertise in the configuration, operation and scaling of workloads using the container management framework you assert competency in - NOT interested in experience autoscaling EC2-based workloads - CI/CD pipeline with full rollback capabilities for code, config and DB - Experience implementing and operating containerized reverse proxy layer to offload network traffic from the application layer - Leading Development and QA teams in an Agile Development process, producing and managing Agile artifacts and usage of Atlassian Agile tooling - Competency in the configuration, deployment and operation of the following minimum set of AWS components: Docker plus either ECS/Fargate or EKS/Kubernetes, ECR, Aurora, ALB, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch. CloudTrail is nice to have. - Experience in securing AWS-based applications stacks using IAM, Network ACLs and VPC. GuardDuty, Shield, WAF, Config, Secrets Manager, KMS are nice to have. - Experience managing implementation of a BI solution. - Source code control and management using GIT Desirable experience: - Deep hands-on experience configuring and operating the following AWS products/platforms: EC2, ALB/ELB, S3, Route 53, AMI, CloudFormation, ASGs, Fargate/EKS, CloudFront, Docker, ECS, RDS, KMS, IAM, WAF. - Familiarity with Logstash/Filebeat, Elasticache, Kibana. - Familiarity with client-side mobile and responsive web technologies such as iOS, Android, HTML (5), - This position requires healthy doses of initiative and the ability to remain flexible and responsive in a very dynamic environment
