Talview is looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the engineering team at Talview. This person will report directly to the CTO. Key Responsibilities: - Evolving the team roadmap, technology, and architecture, leading brainstorming and planning sessions - Optimizing engineering processes and policies - Coach and mentor a team of engineers, providing career guidance and holding regular one-on-one sessions - Representing the engineering team in planning and product meetings - Planning and implementing hiring strategies to attract talent along with Engineering Managers - Advocate for Talview engineering and management at industry events - Maintain a high bar for code quality through code reviews and helping the team think through edge cases - Foster and embody our values of teamwork, learning, empowerment, and quality Our stack: Ember.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Nodejs, React Native Key Qualifications: - 5+ years as an engineering manager or team lead role - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - Experience building products that work at web scale - Able to develop inclusive teams to foster growth and diversity - Worked at a startup
