Responsibilities: - Provide leadership, management and technical vision to an agile team of 25+ strong data scientists, software developers and automation engineers. - Play a critical role in growing and refining the engineering organization that is nimble, highly performant, customer focused and delivers on aggressive business requirements/timelines. - Responsible for defining and delivering engineering roadmap. Plan, Execute and manage all engineering releases, demos and customer support activities with laser sharp focus on quality and timeliness. - Effectively collaborate across teams (Product Management, Sales, Operations and Customer Support) and thrive for the best, easy to use product customer experience. - Inspire, Coach and mentor software engineers/architects in the organization. Stimulate hiring, career plans, training as well as performance reviews for software engineering team. - Institutionalize Agile engineering development processes and SDLC best practices, particularly in unit/system test automations, CI/CD, technical design reviews, code reviews and documentations - Enhance and foster an open, honest, communicative and innovative work environment. Required Skills: - 10+ years of proven track record in leading cross-functional and distributed engineering teams. Overall 15+ years of software design, development and delivery experience. - Experience managing software projects during their full life cycles, with a deep understanding of Agile development methodologies like SCRUM, Kanban - Proven expertise in building AI/ML based complex platforms for over 3+ years. - Excellent people and motivational skills with demonstrated ability to attract, and retain top talent. - Hands-on architect with expertise in LAMP architectures, OO Design principles and design patterns, Web Service and Micro Service architectures, RESTful interfaces, Web Technologies, Python, PHP, Node JS, React and Angular JS - Solid understanding of data modelling and data mining techniques, Big Data Technologies and prior development experience using MySQL/No SQL. - Experience with SaaS product delivery, AWS, cloud infrastructure management and Container technologies a must. - Prior experience in building data intensive, scalable and secure analytic solutions using Spark, Elastic Search, Kafka, Cassandra, Caching technologies, Message Brokers (like ActiveMQ) is highly desirable - Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal and written), ability to lead by example and results driven. - Deep understanding of data science fundamentals, models and algorithms. Experience in solving AI/ML problems in computer vision, Object recognition and process mining is a huge plus. - Ability to see the big picture while focused on short-term objectives and deliverables. - B.S. in Computer Science or Equivalent
