The mission critical position of Director of Individual Giving will require competencies in enabling through operational co-ordination, strategic vision and leadership. Individual donor acquisition, retention and fundraising communication will be key to the role.

- Donor acquisition

- Donor retention

- Fundraising communication

- People: Lead a diverse and large individual giving team, provide directional leadership.

- Strategy and plan: Lead the development of the firm's strategies related to donor acquisition, retention and fundraising communication, and effectively and consistently implement them with the team.

- Budget: Income and expenditure planning, meeting projected cash flow targets.

- Fundraising management

- Strategic management: Provide strong leadership for overall organisational development.

- Leadership: Planning, sponsoring and/ or managing major projects

Candidate Requirements

- A minimum eight years as a non-profit individual fundraising practitioner and around four years in a fundraising leadership role with national or international non-profits. The candidate must have a highly developed subjective knowledge of various types of retail fundraising, and of the offline and online retail fundraising operations.

- Outstanding collaboration skills, working across a diverse organisation

- Sound organisational and people management skills

- Effectively lead and model the promotion of social justice and rights throughout the scope of the role

- Consistently demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences, diversity

- Show commitment to equal opportunities

- Have an advanced understanding of management roles and dynamics in small and large organisations

- Strong financial management experience.
