Key responsibilities: Vision & Leadership: - Provides leadership and direction for technical managers, architects, quality assurance engineers, developers and other technologists up to the Director level. - Works closely with key business leaders to define own plan within large strategy.Participates in the process to prioritize and scope future milestones and projects. Actively pursues details about the marketplace and customers. - Plays the significant role in the DevOps transformation for Tech teams while addressing immediate business needs and maintaining strategic direction. - Acts as a change agent, initiating appropriate changes to support business growth, reduce operational costs, and/or improve service levels. Actively points out the need for change. Drive Results: - Ensures project/product delivery excellence by championing the process prescribed byTech transformation leaders. - Drives the delivery of multiple, concurrent business initiatives that leverage and extend our robust technology platform. - Plans resource allocations to support projects of various sizes and support. Ensures service levels are understood and met. Communication: - Fosters open communication within and across teams. - Proactively engages other leaders in cross-functional efforts. Openly shares plans and strives to prevent surprises for peer teams. - Communicates effectively with IT management. Keeps IT leaders apprised of any issues or concerns. Capabilities & Requirements: - Demonstrated ability and experience in providing cross-organizational managerial leadership for application development & support. - Understanding of infrastructure operations and experience of partnering with infrastructure teams to enable overall solution delivery - Comfortable working with senior IT management. Ability to interact with business executives in business terms. - Business acumen: a proven track record of understanding the business problem statements and the objective of the software solution. - Full lifecycle development experience on large projects, creating distributed and scalable systems. - Familiarity with a variety of SDLC methodologies (i.e. RUP, XP, Scrum, Lean, etc.) - Proven track record of working with external IT services organizations, strategizing their engagement & building partnerships - Experience of collaborating effectively with global teams - Proven record of process analysis and continuous improvement - Ability to influence technical discussions and decisions. - Demonstrated ability to delegate and empower others. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in IT. - 10+ years of experience in leadership and management roles, with overall 14+ years of experience in software industry.
